These terms cover your use of FreonPhone, an AI after-hours call answering and dispatch service for HVAC contractors, and the text messages the service sends. By using the service or agreeing to receive our texts, you accept these terms.
FreonPhone answers a contractor's phone line outside business hours. The assistant takes the caller's details, triages the problem, books an appointment window where appropriate, sends a confirmation text, and escalates a genuine emergency to the contractor. Every call produces a recording and a transcript available to the contractor.
FreonPhone is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for 911. If there is a gas leak, a fire, carbon monoxide, or any risk to life or property, hang up and call 911 or your utility's emergency line immediately.
Program name: FreonPhone. The program sends transactional messages only: appointment confirmations, service updates, and emergency callbacks relating to a call you placed to a contractor we answer for. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.
How we handle the numbers and consent behind this program is described in our Privacy Policy.
Callers consent verbally during the recorded call, when the assistant states that a confirmation text will follow. Contractors consent through the checkbox on our website before we contact them. We record the time of consent and the version of the notice agreed to. Consent is specific to us and is never transferred to another business.
Service is billed at a flat monthly rate and runs month to month. You may cancel at any time by turning off call forwarding and telling us; the current month is not prorated. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information, service area, and pricing you give us, and for responding to the calls we escalate to you.
Do not use the service to place unlawful, harassing, or deceptive calls, to collect consent you do not have, or to send content through our messaging program that falls outside the transactional purpose described above.
The assistant is software and will sometimes mishear, misclassify, or fail. The design rule is that the worst outcome at any failure point is a recorded message, a transcript, and a notification to the contractor — but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for a missed or delayed job resulting from a failure of the service, a carrier, or a telephony provider. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change, and material changes to the SMS program will be reflected in a new consent version for future consents.
